Indutry Notes... "Marcus & Millichap named Victor M. Martinez its top manufactured home investment professional in 2003. The associate, based in the estate brokerage's Ontario, Calif., office, facilitated transactions valued at nearly $22 million. He joined Marcus & Milichap in 2001 and serves as an associate director in the firm's National Manufactured Home Communities Group. His transactions last year involved sales in California and Arizona, including a $63 million mobile home park in Chandler, Ariz."

Buyers Look Twice at Small-Size Parks... "John Hook of Stanton, Calif.-based Mesa Homes Inc., acquired Lynwood for $1.5M from Atherton Baptist Homes of Los Angeles. The all-cash deal closed in early April. Victor Martinez of Marcus & Millichap's Ontario, Calif., office represented the principals in this deal, which only took 26 days beween listing and closing. Seven offers were made within the first week. "
